Multi-Factor Authentication

Beginning May 15, 2024, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required when you log in. You can pre-enroll by visiting my.ny.gov.

Currently, there are two methods available to receive a temporary keycode for MFA:

  1. Phone number
    • Automated phone call
      • Receive a voice call with a single-use code when you log into the Child Support Services portal.
    • SMS text message
      • Receive a text message with a single-use code when you log into the Child Support Services portal.
  2. App
    • Google Authenticator
      • Receive a single-use code when you log into the Child Support Services portal.
    • Okta Verify
      • Receive a push notification when you log into the Child Support Services portal.

Only one MFA method is required, but users are encouraged to choose at least one option from each method. This allows you to log in if you change your number or lose your phone. When setting up MFA, be sure to use a phone you can access every time you log into your Child Support Services account. If you choose to use Okta Verify and/or Google Authenticator for your MFA method(s), be sure to download the apps on your mobile device before you enroll.
